Getting started with Excellence in Speech Pathology (ESP) begins with a digital intake process through their practice management platform, Tebra. While the interface uses the phrase "Book an appointment," it is important to understand that this step functions as a registration and verification portal rather than a scheduled session.

Step-by-Step Onboarding Process

1. Access the Portal

Navigate to the Excellence in Speech Pathology Tebra page. This is the official hub for initiating care.

2. Initiate "Booking"

Click the "Book an appointment" or "Book online" button next to a provider.

3. Insurance Verification:

During this initial setup, you will provide your insurance details. ESP works with several providers, including:

  • Medicaid of Louisiana​

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana

  • United Healthcare / UMR

  • Aetna

4. Paperwork & Documentation: 

Once you have "booked" the initiation, the system allows the administrative team to send you the necessary intake forms and HIPAA disclosures. Completing these digitally ensures that your first actual clinical meeting can focus entirely on the evaluation or treatment.

5. Administrative Confirmation:

After you complete the online prompt, a staff member will review your information, verify your benefits, and contact you to schedule the actual evaluation or first therapy session.
